Long-term care

Kensington Gardens is a non-profit, long-term care home located in the heart of Kensington Market. We offer 24-hour care, programs and services for 350 residents and their families.

Our volunteer roles

Friendly visitors: Provide social support and interact with a resident. Visits can include chatting, walking around the facility, playing a game or doing an activity.

Program assistant: Assist with the implementation of social programs. Volunteers will help to bring residents to and from programs and interact with them during the program.

Café: Provide friendly and efficient service to all customers of the Kensington Café, in accordance with health regulation guidelines.

Reception: Welcome guests at the front reception desk, answer phone calls and assist with in-person inquiries.

Pastoral care: Assist residents in arriving at and during services.

Mealtime assistant: Provide support and assistance to residents during mealtimes.
