Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have changed some of our policies that will impact your visit. Rest assured, we are committed to providing our patients and staff with a safe environment while at Kensington. Please see below some of the changes to our policies at Kensington that are being taken to keep everyone safe.
Screening
You will be screened for COVID-19 in the lobby of 340 College St. Screening will involve taking your temperature with a thermometer and asking you a series of questions. If you do not pass screening, you will not be able to go to your appointment and must reschedule by telephone.
Appointment arrival
Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your appointment in order to be screened in the lobby. There is also an increased wait time to use the elevators as we social distance. Please note, if you arrive more than 45 minutes prior to your appointments, you will be asked to return to your car until 45 minutes before your appointment.
You must wear a mask
You must wear a mask at all times during your your visit. We ask that you put on your mask before entering the building. Cloth and home-made masks are acceptable. Failure to comply will result in appointment cancellation.
Bringing someone to your appointment
If you arrive with friends or family, they will not be able to accompany you to your appointment.
Exceptions will be made for those who require mobility help or translation. Once translation is complete, those accompanying you will be asked to wait elsewhere. They will be contacted by phone when you are ready to be discharged. After your appointment, you will be accompanied to the lobby by one of our staff where you will be reunited with your friend or family member.
Gloves
Do not wear disposable gloves as they provide a false sense of security and need to be sanitized with hand sanitizer. The hand sanitizer erodes the plastic, rendering plastic gloves useless.
