Today we’re giving a big shout out to Women’s College Hospital’s Long Term Care Plus (LTC+) team.
Over the last year, Kensington has been partnering with physicians at Women’s College Hospital to bring innovative care to our seniors, with expertise in the area of geriatrics, internal medicine and rapid diagnostics.
Understanding the tremendous challenges in long term care, redeployed physicians and staff have stepped in to help Kensington swab and test every resident. Most recently, the hospital deployed their fourth mission with a rapid mobile testing team to swab residents in the South building.
Dr. Danielle Martin, executive vice president and chief medical executive at Women’s College Hospital says, “I think hospitals and health regions are realizing this is where we need to be putting our effort and energy.”
By the end of the weekend all residents and front-line staff at the Gardens will have been tested.
Thank you to Women’s College Hospital physicians for helping to flatten the curve and reduce the spread among our community!
Together with our hardworking staff and volunteers, you’re making heroic efforts to combat an invisible foe.
