Coronavirus (COVID-19) information

Updated - January 21, 2021

COVID-19 has changed much of our daily lives – but Kensington’s commitment to keeping our community safe hasn’t. We are looking forward to seeing you again. If you have been to our campus before, things may look a little different when you return. We have made some changes to how we operate to keep you and our staff safe.

If you are new to Kensington, welcome! Please read the information on this page carefully to help you prepare for an upcoming visit.

The Eye Bank of Canada (Ontario Division) continues to support around-the-clock eye donation and emergency transplantation needs province-wide.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

We are currently accepting patients by appointment only. To allow for physical distancing in the waiting rooms and time for our team to disinfect between patients, we are operating at a reduced capacity.

October 21 update:

We look forward to seeing you at The Gardens! If you plan to visit The Gardens, we require proof of vaccination or a rapid test, which we will provide onsite.

Please review the Ministry of Long-term Care's visitation policy and our visiting page before your visit.

For all inquiries regarding designating an essential caregiver, please contact us at bookingadmin@kensington.org

Visiting

We are closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 in Ontario. As always, the safety of our residents and staff is our top priority. At the moment, under Toronto Public Health direction, our visitation policy has been amended and we are limiting the number of essential visitors that are entering our home. Please note that you will be screened at reception before entering the hospice.

For more information, please give us a call at 416-963-9640 ext. 1428, or email Benhilda Chirisa, Administrative Assistant, at bchirisa@kensingtonhealth.org.

Virtual connections
As a way of ensuring that we are supporting families to stay connected, we are providing virtual visits. If you would like to book one, please contact us.
