Planned Giving
Planned giving is, in essence, deciding in advance what happens to your estate. It is one of the most powerful philanthropic tools available to you today. Through planned giving, you are ensuring that the residents and patients of the Kensington Health organizations will receive the best in care and innovative treatment today, tomorrow and in the future because of your generous support..
Planned giving puts you in control, and ensures that you leave a legacy about the things that are important to you.
You can arrange to leave a planned gift in a number of different ways, such as:
- Including the Kensington Foundation as a beneficiary in your will for a specific sum or a portion of your estate
- Naming the Kensington Foundation as a beneficiary of your retirement funds, RRSP, RRIF or pension
- Naming the Kensington Foundation as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy
Please speak to an accountant or financial advisor who can help you understand the impact on your personal taxes of making a planned gift. Even more importantly, we urge you to consult with a lawyer so that he or she can help you put your wishes into the correct legal form.
If you have included the Kensington Foundation in your legacy giving, please contact Kathleen Roulston, Development Associate at 416-963-9640 x 2803 or associate@kensingtonhealth.org.
