The Kensington Research Institute is a registered charitable foundation and is responsible for research activity within the Kensington Eye Institute, the Kensington Health Centre, and the Kensington Screening Clinic. The Kensington Research Institute conducts research on issues related to seniors’ quality of life, eye diseases and palliative care.
Great strides have been made in improving provision and treatment of vision-related health to diverse populations. We are focused on best practices and evaluating patient outcomes and satisfaction as well as dedicated to research innovation and design exploring new technologies in lens prototypes and pharmacology.
Because of the excellent academic culture at the Kensington Eye Institute, University of Toronto medical residents practice their surgical training which contributes to the reputation of U of T ophthalmology residents as being among the best trained anywhere.
